METROpolis

The project seeks to transform the car-oriented Europark District logistics area into a vibrant, agile urban neighbourhood. By stacking existing logistic halls and introducing green and pedestrian axes, the proposal blends urban density with ecological connectivity and human-scale livability. The project focuses on:

• Transforming the former logistics area into a dense, mixed-use neighborhood that balances production, housing, and recreation
  

• Establishing three green axes along historic railway lines as ecological corridors connecting parks and public squares
  
  
• Creating diagonal pedestrian routes linking Neufreimann and the Englischer Garten through a sequence of squares with active ground floors.
